Extra Mural Activities

Extra-mural activities are regarded as an integral part of our education at the Erica Girls' Primary School.

Sport
Our aim is for the girls to be involved in a summer and winter sport. This is a vital part of their education as not only the physical development but also the social development is catered for. We strive to be the best that we can in all sporting codes while still making activities enjoyable and memorable. Sport must be fun!
Sporting codes offered are:
Summer: Ball skills, Fitness Training, Swimming, Tennis
Winter: Hockey, Netball, Tennis

There is also the opportunity for private professional Tennis and Hockey coaching, together with introductory swimming lessons for the pre-Primary girls

Cultural

On Monday afternoons the hall is alive with the sounds of laughter and music as the girls keep fit by doing aerobics.

Chess is offered to the girls from Grade 1 and this is a wonderful way to develop cognitive skills. We are proud to have our first SA Chess player, Charlize van Zyl, who is going to represent her country in France this year.

The Computer Club gives the girls an opportunity to use the computers for their own pleasure, for project work and research. 

Other outside activities offered include Ballet and Drama.
